Hi friends! This is a map of Sénégal, a country in West Africa. Possibly of more immediate interest to you is that it is where I will be living from August 2009 - October 2011 (specific dates not set). I will be doing Sustainable Rural Agriculture (admittedly vague) with the Peace Corps. I’m thrilled! As I get more of a handle on the situation (….and work through the new stack of paperwork they sent me…) I’ll post more details on my placement and responsibilities. Happy Thursday, Tumblrs!

So… I officially received the letter which informed me (officially) that I’ve been medically cleared on all counts for the Peace Corps. This morning I also submitted an additional skills inventory outlining, basically, what I can do and how well I can do it. So, yes. Here’s to that! Happy Thursday!
